How to deal with Workplace Bullies

It is a reality that all of us will experience bullying, in school, street and even on our workplaces but not everyone will be victimized by those bullies because some knew how to deal with them.

I even experience bullying myself when I was a kid I don't know how to deal with them but as I grow up I can manage these kind of situations.

Identifying bullies

Bullies come in all shapes, forms and sizes. We are not aware that we are being bullied and sometimes bullies don't know that they are
bullying.

In general workplace bullies are those persons who use direct and indirect ways to make people feel small on them selves; they make someone feel unsecure in their workplace. They use repetitive tactics to manipulate and intimidate their victims. Victims of these bullies feel useless, powerless or in slang term "a loser."

The Art of Dealing with Bullies

Being bullied is a situation that you can prevent and overcome, bullies are just person and they do not have super powers therefore you have the edge to manage them, with class!!

Here are some ways to deal with bullies:

Find Protector

When my first time in school my mom says that whenever a classmate is trying to make me uncomfortable and making me as his/her playing object, the best thing to do is to tell the teacher.
This is your first line of defense, tell your bosses about the situation and let them handle it after all managing people is your bosses' job.

Distancing

Staying away from them is another way, this is very effective to gossipers and yes office gossipers are bullies because they use repetitious way to destroy other people's lives. We all know who these persons are. They will be first be friends with you then sooner will tell through the great vine stories about other people and we usually enjoy it but when you are not around, are you sure you are not the topic?

When you hear gossip just listen, keep quite then inch by inch stay away.

Showing Indifference

Making the bullies realize that they are protagonist will make a direct hit to their conscience and showing them indifference to their attitude will surely make them small.

Catch the ball soft when it is thrown hard.

Knowing Why they are Bullying and Understanding Them
Trying to ask someone about the history of that bully can give you an idea why is he/she like that, because mostly of the bullies are the most insecure persons in the world and they are hurting inside.
Finding the bully's soft spot will make you understand deeper and be able to deal with him.

Never let Bullies Bully you

One of the most powerful women in the history, Eleanor Roosevelt Says "No one can Make you Inferior without you consent" Inferior means low and mediocre.

You will not be victimized by those bullies if you will not allow them to victimize you.

Your self is the greatest protector of all time.
